The Ballard Locks are open! A $16M dollar machinery replacement at one of the busiest locks in the world isn't an easy feat. This project required the removal of the existing mechanical equipment used to operate the small lock gates and valves, and the installation of new hydraulic equipment and computerized controls at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks in Seattle, Washington. Thanks to our amazing onsite crew the T1-RJS JV team was able to accomplish it on time and within budget while still maintaining a strong culture of safety. Great job team!
